The ODM Process: From Sketch to Mass Production

Don't Rush the Blueprint

Developing a custom adult toy is a 6-9 month journey. If a factory tells you they can do it in 2 months, they are cutting corners on safety testing or mold cooling—both lead to warped products.

1. The Prototyping Phase

Start with a 3D-printed SLA model for ergonomics. Do not skip this. You need to feel the "grip" and "weight" in your hand. Once the shape is locked, move to a "soft mold" sample to test the vibration resonance within the silicone.

2. Tooling and Pilot Runs

Steel molds are an investment. Ensure your contract specifies Mold Ownership. After tooling, run a pilot of 100 units. Stress-test these in a humidity chamber. Only after 0% failure in the pilot should you pull the trigger on a 3,000-unit mass production run.
